Born and raised in the Golden State, Dennis Graves joined the United States Navy in 1976 and was honorable discharged in 1980. Upon discharge Dennis spent 25 years within the retail floral industry. Dennis and his wife owned three flower shops during that time and sold their last floral shop in 2005. At that time Dennis transitioned into the mortgage industry and has helped over 700 families with financing their largest investment.

In 2006 a family member had an elderly uncle that was in need of some additional income to help cover the cost of monthly in home care. At the time the senior home owner owned his modest home free and clear. Dennis originated his first reverse mortgage, and found a new passion; helping senior home owners with navigating the process of accessing the equity they had built over decades.

Unlike those early days where a reverse mortgage was viewed more as a loan of last resort, Dennis has acquired the knowledge and expertise to assist senior homes owners and their financial advisors with the process of using a reverse mortgage as a vital tool as part their retirement income planning. Dennis’ knowledge of how the HECM Line of Credit can assist clients to minimize the sequence of return risk that so many clients face as they draw from their 401K/IRA’s has been invaluable to many.

Dennis and his wife Lorieann have been married since 1991. They have two adult children and a daughter-in-law. Our son and daughter-in-law recently blessed us with our first grandchild. Dennis’s family enjoys camping, travel and are committed to serving within their church and the community.
